February conference presentations

Our results from the PreNAPs and FINITH studies were shared at two different scientific meetings held in Kampala, Uganda. The first presentation was given on the 8th of February at the Africa Region Meeting of the World Psychiatric Association held at Speke Resort Munyonyo and focused on our abstract “Maternal food insecurity, anemia, and social support are independently associated with prenatal depression among HIV-positive and -negative women attending antenatal services in northern Uganda.” The second presentation based on our abstract “Disease status, household food insecurity, and social support  are independently associated with depression in ambulatory HIV, TB and HIV+TB infected patients in post-conflict northern Uganda” was given on 10th February at the East Africa Regional Meeting of the Alumni of the International Master of Public Health degree at the Braun School of Public Health of Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel. The alumni meeting was held at Imperial Royale Hotel, in Kampala, Uganda.
